Lovely staff, nice free pastries for breakfast, clean, big room. Good location close to the train station and quick walk to the centre of Arashiyama
No view, and could not open windows.

Taxi’s and Ubers if not local had difficulty finding it.

There are no problems with the hotel, but I had trouble with transportation from the station. Even carrying luggage from Saga-Arashiyama Station, the road was cobblestone or gravel, and I couldn't pull my suitcase... I was worried that the wheels would break. There were no taxis, and when I tried to call one, it said, 'Currently not in service...'. I tried installing the app, but it just kept spinning and wouldn't connect, so I ended up having to walk... (crying) I relied on Google Maps to walk, but it was too scary to walk in unfamiliar territory in the dark at night. A woman alone couldn't walk at all... (crying) The dining places were said to close early, so I was relieved to have eaten first, but in the end, I felt that delaying check-in was a mistake. And I felt that Kyoto lacked signs no matter where you took in the city? It would be helpful to have more clear signs.
